Help & Support

Street Level Youth Care operates entirely on the generosity of individuals, churches, local businesses, and community groups in Cairns. We do not receive any consistent or ongoing government funding.

Over 25 Years of Service

120,000+ Volunteer Hours

More than 120,000 volunteer hours have been spent in Cairns parks and on the streets, engaging with over 1,000 young people aged 21 and under – feeding, supporting, and offering friendship.

$1,000,000+ worth of food

Over $1,000,000 worth of food (commercial value) has been donated to feed homeless and disadvantaged young people in Cairns.

All of this is only possible because of the kindness, generosity, and commitment of the people of Cairns, its suburbs, and surrounding regions.

How You Can Help

Meal Donation

Who makes the meals?

A wide variety of individuals and groups donate their time and skills, including:

  • Pensioners and community volunteers
  • Churches, youth groups and schools
  • Rotary Clubs, Lions and Lioness Clubs.
Can I help?

Absolutely! Meals are appreciated. Individually package snacks are also great (chips, bars, cookies). As well as cordial or juice poppers.

We also can provide containers for anyone wishing to cook larger batches of meals for our outreach. We have freezer space to store the meals for future use. Every contribution whether large or small helps provide food, care, and hope to young people in need.
